Me

Hello. You are probably wondering how to pronounce the jumble of letters at the top of your screen. For some its very easy so if you got it, congratulations, if not, think of the name jeremy- cut it of at jer then think of the name jonathan and mix them together… Jer – on – a – thon. Got it?

Well introductions out of the way, I am creating this blog as a way for me reach and convey information about a subject that I have a great deal of knowledge in and also to convey my thoughts and opinions related to it.

For the past 8 years, I have worked in the Mortgage and Real Estate Industry and have been able to witness since I started working the field, growth and rapid appreciation of homes as more people were able to buy homes with the loan programs that were available. It was the American dream coming to realization for many Americans who had worked hard to save money and make the income to afford their mortgages. Then a few years later, as we are witnessing now, those same homeowners are now facing the worst foreclosure crisis this country has seen in several decades.

The intent of this blog is to share vital information that could potentially help people make decisions that impact their lives. I have worked at a Mortgage Corporation, a Mortgage Broker and a Real Estate office and as a Housing Counselor for a HUD approved housing agency. So I have witnessed many sides of this growing problem. Keep in mind that foreclosure processes differ from state to state. I will be writing primarily from a California viewpoint, so not everything posted on this blog may work for you. If you are looking for information to help you make your decisions, I encourage you to use this site as a source of information, but also encourage you to speak to a Housing Counselor before you do it.

If you are a distressed homeowner and need immediate attention there are resources for you.
Call 1-800-HOPE-NOW to be directed to a local housing agency in your area.
